Xenobot Data Manager
This is my attempt at an original robotic design. Wanted to try my hand at some hard surface design and create something with a bit more personality. I tried to make it alien and slightly exotic. Also wanted to try a design with neon glows and some strong colors.
Roughing out a basic silhouette of a robot without any clear design concept.
Created depth by highlighting closer portions and pushing back others through darkness.
Created a vague biomechanical technology of circuit like walls and glowing cables.
Introduced something like eyes, glows that move through the body, and a laser like tool.
Trying to make the various colors more cohesive by zoning the image and smoothly transitioning between.
Added drama with front facing shadow and splashing colorful light from the environment onto the technician's form.
